Rang na hArdteiste 2024 fíorshásta lena dtorthaí
Cúis bhróid ollmhór don scoil ab ea í fáilte a chur roimh Rang na hArdteiste 2024 chun a dtorthaí a bhailiú ón scoil an tseachtain seo caite. Bhí na torthaí dochreidte agus i bhfad níos airde ná an meán náisiúnta. Bhí an-bhród orainn as an dream seo ach go háirithe, mar seo an chéad uair a bhí deis acu tabhairt faoi scrúduithe stáit ar bith. D'éirigh thar cionn leis na daltaí i Rang Lir; freisin, an chéad rang uathachais a shuigh scrúduithe stáit trí mheán na Gaeilge lasmuigh den Ghaeltacht i stair na tíre.
Bhí deis againn mar scoil comhghairdeas speisialta a rá le hEóin Wayne agus le hEoin Lignon, a thuill 625 pointe an duine. Ina theannta sin, d'éirigh le hEoin Lignon 8x H1 a thuilleamh trasna an bhoird.
Tá muid ag súil go mór le leanúint ar bhur n-aistir ar fad amach anseo, a chairde. Go n-éirí go geal libh agus bain fíorshult as bhur gcéad chaibidil eile.
Coláiste Ghlór na Mara was delighted and proud to welcome back the Leaving Certificate class of 2024 to collect their Leaving Cert results last week. The results were of an exceptional standard and far above the national average in all subjects. We were especially proud of this cohort of students, as it was their first chance to ever sit state exams and they performed incredibly well. It was also an emotional day for our Rang Lir students and their families. Rang Lir is the first autism class in Ireland to sit Leaving Cert exams through the medium of Irish outside of the Gaeltacht. Their results were incredible.
The staff of Coláiste Ghlór na Mara were given the opportunity to congratulate Eóin Wayne and Eoin Lignon who each earned the maximum 625 points. In fact, Eoin Lignon earned a H1 in a total of 8 subjects across the board.
We are very excited to follow these young peoples' journey and we wish them all the best in their next chapter. Comhghairdeas arís.
